Hong Kong Artist & Painter
Lau Yuen Ting lives and works in Hong Kong. She graduated from the Bachelor of Arts (Fine Art) in 2018 co-presented by Hong Kong Art School and RMIT University, majored in painting. Graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts in 2024/2 - Certificate in Theatre and Entertainment Arts (Fast Track Vocational) programme- (Major in Props Making), currently painting, drawing, watercolour and materials experimentation as creative media. In her art practice, she explores the possibilities between abstraction and figuration, realities live and unconsciousness of memory. She was the recipient of the Talent Development Scholarship in 2015 & Reaching Out Scholarship in 2018 presented by the Education Bureau of Hong Kong SAR Government. She had participated one of the exhibition and artist- in resident on Red Gate Gallery in Beijing(2018). She actively participates in a number of exhibitions in recent years and is also engaged in mural art and public art projects in the community. She is the Co-Founder of a local art group “Art Napping” a local art group making mural arts. She had a solo exhibition in PMQ in 2021 supported by JCCAC Professor Mayhing Kao Arts Development Fund.
